Senior Slump? Snap Out of It! We realize you have worked very hard within the last years that are few all of those challenging courses, getting involved in numerous extracurriculars, dealing with leadership positions, etc. And, you’re certainly working quite difficult now on your university applications. You may feel very tempted to put down your college work and only other, more exciting opportunities (senior ditch day, anybody?) But trust us, now’s maybe not the right time to slack off. You attended this far, and you want to make sure you complete strong. And not just for your own comfort of mind, though we do hope you have got your very own internal motivations. Realistically, though, what will probably motivate you most to keep those year that is senior up is just a little something called the <strong>Mid-Year Report</strong>.</p> <p>The Mid-Year Report is a Common application that must be submitted by your therapist after very first semester year that is senior become available. Our office takes these grades into account, and expects that the trend in your grades will continue. That means that if you’re earning <a href=""></a> grades that are high, there’s absolutely no reason those As shouldn’t be reflected on your Mid-Year Report.</p> <p>And while we’re in the topic, senioritis is not an excuse to let your second-semester year that is senior slip, either. We are going to be sent a last transcript from your high school, and will make sure that those grades are intact, too. As always, we reserve the directl<span id="more-10098"></span>y to rescind any admission decisions.</p> <p>So, moral of the tale is: continue working hard, up until ab muscles last day of senior year. And, prepare to operate even harder (but have actually a lot of enjoyment too) in university!</p> <div> <div> <div> <article> <h1>The Art of the Health Supplement</h1> <p>Our first due date is merely around the corner. Is it possible to believe it?! December 1<sup>st</sup> is less compared to a month away. Students applying for talent-based majors must submit a bit more information, therefore we have clarified a things that are few the process.</p> <p>In addition to completing the App that is common and Writing Supplement, students deciding on the <strong>Iovine and Young Academy</strong>, <strong>Roski School of Fine Arts</strong>, <strong>class of Architecture</strong>, <strong>School of Cinematic Arts</strong>, <strong>School of Dramatic Arts</strong>, plus the <strong>Thornton School of musical</strong> must finish the Arts Supplement.</p> <p> To do that, students require to react ‘yes’ to the question, ‘Do you intend to submit an art supplement so that your special skill in one or maybe more associated with arts will likely be considered as element of the admission process to University of Southern California?’ on the supplement that is writing. This will allow for the web link to Slideroom to appear into the left column of typical App.</p> <p><strong>Auditions</strong>:</p> <p><strong>Thornton</strong>: pupils must be prescreened before being invited for an audition. To get this done, students must upload recordings to the ‘Fall DecisionDesk portal’ by the <strong>December 1st</strong> deadline. They must also complete the creative Art Supplement in Slideroom. December Thornton will send students an audition confirmation in late. Please only submit a Slideroom health supplement for a major to which you are applying.</p> <p><strong>Dramatic Arts</strong>: To schedule an audition for the BFA, students must suggest their top three audition date preferences on Slideroom. If students are unable to attend an audition that is live they must select ‘Recorded Audition’ on Audition Date Preference #1 and upload a recording on the ‘Media’ tab in Slideroom.</p> <p><strong>Interviews:</strong></p> <p><strong>Dramatic Arts</strong>: All applicants applying to the BA in Dramatic Arts system are asked to schedule an interview with an admission counselor either in person or on the device. Students can subscribe to this interview on the Dramatic Arts site.</p> <p><strong>Portfolio distribution:</strong></p> <p><strong>Fine Arts</strong>: In addition to questions that are answering the student’s imaginative experience, students must submit 10-15 images on the Media tab on Slideroom. They are added one at a right time and can’t be added in PDF format.</p> <p><strong>Iovine and Young Academy</strong>: Applicants are expected to submit an initial video of only one minute that illustrates an original idea for an innovative item, service or system that solves a challenge, addresses a need, or provides an opportunity. In addition to the video, pupils may submit up to 5 media files including visual images, motion graphics, original music recordings, poems, and essays. Each of these components should be uploaded to the Media tab within Slideroom.</p> <p><strong>Architecture</strong>: pupils can upload drawing, sketching, painting, graphic design, photography, video, web-design, sculpture, ceramics and furniture design project examples to the Media tab on Slideroom. The admission committee would like to see proof of imagination. Up to 25 examples may be submitted.</p> <p><strong>Cinematic Arts</strong>: Depending on this system to that the student applies, students must submit a personal statement, writing test, creative portfolio list, responses to short solution questions, and URLs in Slideroom.
